Does a Hospital-Grade GFCI Protect Better Against Shock?

A listed Class A hospital-grade GFCI and a listed Class A general-use GFCI are designed to perform the same essential personnel ground-fault function: detect an imbalance between the current leaving and returning through the monitored conductors and interrupt the circuit when the device’s trip criteria are met.
